Health & Self Care Advice
Our Pharmacists are trained to help you
Our trained pharmacy team, under the direction of our in-house pharmacist, are available for advice on minor ailments, medicine usage, medicine storage, how to quit smoking, healthy dieting, travel medication, medicine interactions, vitamins, supplements and more.
Seeing a pharmacist is faster than getting a GP appointment and offers the same treatment advice for a range of minor ailments and illnesses. If our team cannot help, we will direct you to other sources of advice and assistance.
Patient Medication Records
Patient Confidentiality is key
Our confidential computer system allows us to keep records of all of the previous prescriptions we have dispensed for you and lets our pharmacy team check for potential problems, such as medicine reactions.
We fully comply with the Data Protection Act (2018), and the NHS code of practice on patient confidentiality.
Get advice on anti-malaria treatment and more
Our in-house pharmacy team is trained to advise you on the medical requirements for travellers, including anti-malarial treatments and immunisation requirements.
We recommend that you speak to our pharmacy team about your travel health requirements six to eight weeks before you are due to travel to allow time for any immunisations to get to full strength.
We may be able to help if you can't get your regular medicines from your GP
If you run out of a regular prescription medication and are in an urgent situation where you cannot easily get and fill another prescription, we can offer emergency doses of certain prescription medicines.
Emergency prescription medications are given at the minimum quantity possible and are subject to an interview and a review of the patient medication record. This service is for genuine emergencies only and may incur a charge.
We cannot supply emergency doses of controlled substances such as morphine.
